Ofrendas

Each year since the loss of my father, Luis Angel Guerra, I have created an ofrenda to honor his memory and the memory of my deceased loved ones. These annual installations are created in my home and intended as a space of reflection and solace. I tend to my ofrenda and allow it to grow, as I do each year. Sunflowers, often featured in my ofrendas, are the perfect symbol for my father’s death and my grief - we both turned toward the light.
